Roads that are NOT suitable for Heavy Good Vehicles need to be clearly sign posted.

Surely that responsibility must be down to the highways agency.

    But doesn’t the Highways Agency look after major trunk roads and motorways, not small local roads like this?
    I’d also question the drivers roll in his own route planning on this occasion, wouldn’t you?

    Someone needs to take responsibility to inform road users about hazards. The DFT (Department of Transport) look at road safety. Road classification started in 1913, its perhaps time to finish it.

    trunk roads and motorways and roads like these are looked after by your local council or the traffic police. The
